I am working on the 2013-2014 Mystery Quilt from the FQS. All the blocks are done and all the finishing pieces are cut. Yesterday we made the nine patch corner stones and are ready to start sewing the blocks and sashing's together. Won't be able to work on it for a day or two as our grandson is coming up for the week.

I am using the corners cut from the 'flip' method to make a table topper - so I am actually working on two at the same time! I like using 'salvaging' quilting items that would normally be discarded. I'm working with a few other artsy quilters to create an extra long replica of a 1855 wood carving depicting the waterfront of St. Augustine, FL. At that time. We hope it will be used in the 450th celebration next year of the founding of St. Augustine!

Just finished a queen sized quilt and tried free motion quilting for the first time. It wasn't perfect but with practice can only get better. Now planning for my next quilting project. Likely a baby quilt.
