Orange Peel Pillow Mini Tutorial

Hi there! I am back from Market!! I will be posting about that tomorrow! So be sure to check back, and read all about it--I will have a lot lot pictures to share!

Today, I wanted to share this simple pillow with you today.  A few weeks ago, we got these lovely Cross Weave Woven fabrics in the shop.  These fabrics are beautiful.  They have such a lovely look and texture! We have five different colors, and they are all just as beautiful.  You have to see these in person to truly see how lovely they are!

We have this awesome bundle put together with all the colors we have available, so you can see each one!

This is such a quick and easy project, you can whip this pillow up in no time! I love the linen against the cross-weave.  It gives the pillow a nice texture.  The colors in this pillow are so soft and natural looking, which is perfect for an everyday pillow for your couch, or even your bed! :)

Alright, let's make this!  Here are the instructions:

Supplies:

1/2 yard of Linen - Cut 1 - 15" square piece, and two 15" x 10" pieces (for the back)
1/4 yard of Cross Weave Woven Aqua
14" Pillow Form
Fusible Web
Coordinating Thread
Pattern - Download HERE -- I used the larger petal for this pillow

Step 1: Iron some fusible web (using the directions on your web)  onto your cross weave Aqua fabric.

Step 2: Trace your pattern onto the back side of your fabric (where your fusible web is)  You will need 16 peels total.

Step 3: Cut them out, and remove paper.  Place them in an orange peel pattern onto your front piece.  It's helpful to find the center of your front piece of fabric and start from the center and work out, so they are all evenly spaced.

Step 4: Once you have them arranged, then carefully iron them in place.

Step 5: Stitch around them using your preffered stitch, I used a zig-zag stitch on mine.  But you could hand appliqué stitch these one, or do a straight stitch.  Whatever you prefer! Once you have them stitched you have completed the front part of your pillow!

Step 6: Now you need to make it into a pillow cover! You can find the tutorial on how to make an envelope style pillow cover right HERE!

That's it!!

This is such an easy pillow,  I think I need to make a few more for my couches! :)

Talk to you soon,
