When I got this bundle, I knew I wanted to make something "Princess" themed!  These fabrics are so charming and girly! I decided to make some pillows and a couple of door hangers!

This Princess Pillow was so fun to put together! I used the crown print for the crown and used a mixture of blacks for the jewels!  I also made a longer pillow.  I used that fun text print and just added borders! I then stuffed it with stuffing and sewed it shut! Super simple!

These little door hangers are so quick and add a little extra cuteness to your princess's room! :) I just cut out a small square of fabric, bordered it and sewed it up like a pillow! I added a cute handle so it could hang on a door!

Here is how I made the "Princess" pillow:

Supplies:

Cutting:
14" x 14" piece of background
2 - 2.5" x 14" strips
2 - 2.5" x 18" strips

Directions:

Once you have your top made, you will cut out your pattern pieces.  Trace them onto the back of your fusible web, and iron them onto your top.  (use manufacturers directions for fusible web).

Stitch to secure applique.  Around the crown, I did a blanket stitch by hand.  When attaching the hearts and other jewels, I machine stitched.

Trace the "princess" lettering onto the front, making sure you center it.  Then stitch with 3 strands of DMC floss and use a backstitch.

Once you are done, you can turn into a pillow! Use this tutorial.

Now that we shared our fabric for the week, we want to see yours!

Here is your chance to link up anything to do with fabric! You can link up finished quilts, a work in progress, a new fabric you just bought, a project made with fabric, or maybe you just want to show off some of your stash.  Anything goes--as long as it has to do with fabric!
