Raspberry and Cream BOM {Finished Quilt}

Hi there! Today I am ready to share my finished quilt! Yay!! This has been such a fun Block of the Month to do with you guys! I love how it turned out!

NOTE:

These patterns are not "free", so you will need to purchase a kit to receive the fabric + patterns.  The Raspberry & Cream BOM was designed & written by Marsha McCloskey.  We are simply sharing our progress and giving a few tips on completing your blocks as you sew along using your purchased pattern.

This is definitely one of the most "pieced" quilts I have done.  Lots of little pieces and lots of blocks! I'm not going to lie, when it was ready to be quilted I was nervous that it might have puckers or gathers, but it didn't!  It was really flat and quilted beautifully!

This quilt is giant!! I guess I didn't realize how big it would be when I was making it, but after it was all said and done - I couldn't believe how big it was.   I did place it on a queen size bed and it is a perfect fit.

I had the quilting and binding done by Primrose Cottage Quilts - and I backed it with a really soft minky!  I used the 90 wide backing so I didn't have to piece it - which made it even better!!

I decided to go with minky because this quilt will be gifted, and I'm hoping since it has such a cuddly back, that the person will give it lots of love! I don't know about you, but I make my quilts to be used and loved!  I spent so much time and put a lot of love into making this quilt - and want it to be cherished!

I hope you enjoyed making this as much as I did!  We will be starting a new BOM so stay tuned for details! :)

Absolutely gorgeous ... Colors...Design. You name it, it is gorgeous. I love it and have been following along (but, unfortunately, not sewing along). I want to make it and it's on my "to do" in 2018. Wish I'd gotten all the fabric, though. Congratulations on a thing of beauty.

This quilt is impressive! I really like the minky on the back.

I am participating in this BOM and have completed the pieced blocks. I have cut the yellow fabric to set the blocks on point in the middle. Throughout the time period for the BOM, I looked forward to seeing your completed blocks and have found the shots of the completed quilt inspiring me to go ahead and complete the quilt - however, Halloween costumes must come first!

Will you be running another BOM next year? and will that BOM be sold as a kit? I found the concept of two kits very budget friendly.

What a lovely quilt. I have only found your blog today and would have enjoyed joining in on this one. Happy Stitching.
