I go to a plus sign (or cross) quilt. Its made up of 5 blocks of fabric (any size, but the bigger the block, the faster, easier, and bigger)!

Lately, my "go to" has been sewing crumbs and bits and pieces together to make fun, scrappy blocks. Thanks a bunch for the chance to win those yummy fat quarters! While looking at them, I thought I could actually hear the ocean waves. ☺

Nine patch with sashing is my go to pattern!

I usually go with a coin pattern. Fast and Easy!

Kathy Davis said...

My go to pattern will always be the Nine Patch. When I was ten years old in the 1962, I asked all my neighbors for fabric and my mom taught me to hand sew a Nine Patch Block. Mom helped me put all the blocks together and Dad built a quilt frame. The best part is the whole family helped quilt, including my 2 older brothers. Lots of sore fingers later, we had a finished quilt and the best part is that I still have it today. Good memories!!

I like the disappearing nine patch! Thank you for the great giveaway, the colors are fabulous!

Lisa England said...

I agree that disappearing nine patch is a good one. I just finished one this week. But to jazz it up a bit I added a section of paper pieced leaves. Took some extra time to do the leaves, but made it a quilt I am thrilled with!

Me and my sister's easy as 10 or easy as 11 patterns. Super easy :)

Pre- cut squares, so easy to put together different ways, that they will never look the same.

Emily Breclaw said...

I don't know that I have a standard "go to", as I usually do my quick and easy stuff based on pinterest inspirations. . . but lately I've made a lot of quilts with 4.5" equilateral triangles. I have one of the creative grids rulers that helps you cut five at once, so I love turning all my scraps into triangles. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity, those are my absolute favorite colors!!

Mine is Falling Charms, fast and easy. Second is winging it with half square triangles. Love the bundle, my favorite colors.

Well, I haven't been quilting that long but I think if I needed one fast I could slap 2 pieces of cloth together and machine quilt it. Or maybe a jelly roll race top would work too.

I haven't made enough quilts yet to have a "go-to" I've only made 6 quilts and just finished a SWOON quilt top done in Moda's Scrumptious fabric and it is gorgeous!! I would love to make more of that...but it isn't a fast and easy one.

The Rail Fence pattern is an easy & quick one to do.

My favorite fast quilt is the pattern for use with fat quarters called "Yellow Brick Road" by Atkinson Designs. After many years I still see it in the quilt shops and it makes a great contemporary baby quilt or a fast colorful quilt for the grand kids.

I don't particularly have a favorite pattern but when I want to make something quick I whip up 4 or 9 patch blocks and arrange them in a pleasing pattern that I like.

I like using charm squares since I'm just learning to quilt. These go together pretty quick and easy.

dcargill said...

I really don't have a go to pattern because I am just learning. I did make the jelly roll race quilt & that was quick & easy.

Hayley said...

Simple patchwork if I really want something fast. A few wonky stars thrown in if I want it to be a bit fancier

Unknown said...

Apparently I'm a slow poke. I haven't duplicated one yet so I don't know. Although I have several charm packs which will be fast and easy.

It depends on the fabric and my mood. The D9P is always good, a split rail is good, a simple 3Dudes quilt is good.

charlotte said...

My go to is patchwork. You can up size the squares for a quick put together quilt.

Charmaine McLaughlin said...

I like a 9-patch, especially for a baby quilt. It reminds me of the prescious quilt my great grandmother made for me when I was little.

Sherry said...

I go to pinwheels every time I love the quick method that you sew around the outside edge of squares and then cut across the diagonal twice. Thanks for a chance in your giveaway!

JLVerde said...

I'm a super beginner quilter so I just go for simple patchwork, like piecing 5 inch charms together or 9 patch. That one can be very straight and proper or wonky.

jillredding said...

Courthouse steps or log cabin. It was the first block I ever made and still my favorite!

ipatchandquilt said...

I do no really have a go-to-pattern... I try to learn something new each time. For baby quilts I will try to use flannel as backing if I can get my hands on some that looks cool.
The bundle that is up for grabs is truely awesome! So COOL!

I'd probably go with 9 patch or 4 patch. I have a quick baby quilt pattern called "Super Size 9 Patch", just made 8 for my cousin to take on her mission trip to Romania. I have made several , Eleanor Burns log cabins. Would love to win that bundle--great colors! dabblanton @yahoo.com

Sandra :) said...

My favourite quick and easy one doesn't really have a name (unless it's one patch, lol) - it's 36 x 6.5" squares set 6x6, using 2 or 6 different fabrics. It's the perfect size for a baby, and very quick to make up :)

DeborahGun said...

my favourite is just straightforward patchwork squares, preferably using precuts!

Jeanie said...

Dreamy fabric! I tend to go to Log Cabins, arranged differently. Thanks for the giveaway!

Ooooooohhhhh ... pretty! As I consider myself still a newbie, my easy-peasy-quick quilt would be a simple charm pack (or squares of any size) quilt.

Unknown said...

I've yet to make a quilt! I bought the prettiest jelly roll and now don't know what to do with it! But these fabrics would go with my jelly roll perfectly. Could be time to make up my mind.

I don't know that I have a go to quilt pattern yet. I just love to do D9 patches and have made a couple of those but I also love curves so I have made some quilts with the quick curve ruler. These fabrics are lovely.

Helen said...

Disappearing 9-patch is a quick quilt with several variations. For a kids' charity quilt, I go to an easy four patch in solids separating larger blocks of a great kids' focal fabric.

My new favorite go to pattern is not really a pattern at all, but a process. I love making the strip quilts from the 2-1/2" by WOF strips. I never know how they will turn out, but I am always pleasantly surprised. I get a lot of requests for quilts made this way!

I'm kind of amused by this question, because I don't really make quilts quickly at all. I think I might whip up a log cabin quilt if I needed to hurry. They can be very traditional, or extra cool in modern prints.

Connie Rhea said...

My go to quilt pattern is a log cabin quilt because it is the first quilt pattern I ever made, and in a day.

Oooo, some of my favorite colors. I don't really have a "go to" pattern, but one I've used more than once is called "Flim Flam" by Pressed for Time Quiltworks for a lap-size quilt using FQs. That pattern would work perfectly with this bundle, so I hope I win!

D9P. In fact I have just done one! I had a tin full of odd charm squares, you know the ones you aren't too keen on so leave out, or the odd one you haven't used, so I just sewed them all into blocks, cut them up again, and sewed them back in any order, so its very very scrappy. I am going to use it for throwing around when we go camping, much better than them sat in a tin doing nothing. Thanks for the giveaway.
