Hi there! I hope you are getting some fun sewing time in this weekend! Today I have a fun table runner to share with you AND a giveaway! So keep reading to find out about giveaway!
So last month, while I was at market we got to meet the lovely Bonnie and Camille! Their market booth was so pretty, and full of this wonderful new line Daysail. We have ordered their entire collection, and is available now to pre-order! While we were there, they were gracious enough to give us each a mini charm pack.
So today, I thought I would share with you a fun Mini Charm Pack project!

I love this easy pattern because it showcases all the lovely fabrics in the Daysail line. There is a variety of prints, from lovely florals to fun geometrics! Plus some great script fabrics! Which I adore!

I love the colors in this line, they blend so well with each other and the pairings of prints in here are so fun! This runner could be used all year long, because it is just so pretty! :)

Alright, let's make one!
Supplies:
- 1 Mini Daysail Charm Pack - Pre-order here!
- 1/2 yard background fabric
- 1/2 yard backing fabric
- 1/4 yard of binding fabric
Cutting:
Out of background fabric cut the following
- 48 - 2.5" squares
- 4 - 1.5" x 9" strips
- 2 - 1.5" x length of runner strips
Out of Binding cut:
- 3 - 2.5" x width of fabric strips
Step 1: Layout your block as pictured. You will use 16 background fabric squares, and 9 mini charm squares for each block.
Step 2: Sew your squares into rows like pictured below and press.
Step 3: Sew your rows together. You will need to carefully do this so that you match your seams. Making sure you line up the middle square in each row to the previous row.
Step 4: Your block will look like this once you've sewn all your rows together. Now it's time to trim!
Step 5: Trim! You will line up your ruler along each side, and you want to keep a 1/4" of seam allowance on all four sides so you don't lose your points. Once you trim it, your block should measure 9" square. Now make 3 blocks the same way.
Step 6: Once you have all your blocks made. You will sew them together by adding a 1.5" x 9" strip between each block. You will also add a strip on the left and right sides.
Step 7: Once you have that done, you will sew a 1.5" x width of runner strip to the top and bottom.
Step 8: Now you can baste, quilt, and bind with your preferred method. (tutorials here: baste, quilt, and bind)

I love your table runner! I think that is what I would make!! I love Daysail because it tends to lend itself more to boys than B & C's precious lines. I have 5 boys that love to snuggle under quilts so I'm saving for some Daysail for them!!
So fresh and pretty Day Sail is. I would make a runner for my new Assisted Living apartment. I visited today and the colors in this runner will perk up my new widow's home.

Awesome! I have avoided "on point" projects but this might be an awesome project to try it out because I have some State Bird embroidered blocks I did in the 70's that need to be set on point. I have a tumbler template that fits charm packs that I use often and I also like half square triangles, pinwheels, etc. However, I think I will have to try your table runner first

A baby quilt for our nephew, Cavin...a surviving twin with severely limited use of one of hos arms...he would be tickled with the bright colors!
