Christmas Poinsettia Quilt

Hi there! Today is our last post for Christmas in July!  We had so many great projects! I want to thank everyone who joined in and shared a project with our readers! :)

This next project was a team effort!  I designed the quilt, my mom pieced it and our friends from The Stitching Room quilted it for us.  We couldn't be happier with how it turned out!   We hope you like it too!

I have a love for Dresdens! They are so lovely, and make such a bold statement!  When designing this quilt, I wanted the Dresden's to take on a Poinsettia appearance.  I had the vision in my mind, and my mom helped me make that come alive when she pieced this beauty!  I love the traditional look of this quilt, and the bold red against the white background! It really makes those Dresden's pop! :)

We LOVE how the quilting turned out on this quilt.  I didn't want the quilting to over power the quilt, so I picked an invisible thread, and couldn't be happier with the beautiful work that The Stitching Room did on this quilt. It was exactly what I had in mind.  I wanted the poinsettia's to just pop off the quilt, and the quilting to be more in the background.  They really exceeded my expectations with this quilt! :)

I had so much fun seeing this quilt come together! I hope you enjoy making this quilt! I would love to see pictures if you make one! :) lindsey@fortworthfabricstudio.com

I really love this quilt. So pretty. I had about 3 different quilt blocks/patterns that got me the most interested in learning to quilt. The Dresden was the first one. Thank you.
