Oh how I love this bundle of delicious fabric! Strawberries hold a special place in my heart - I started collecting vintage strawberry kitchen items within the last couple of years and I am hooked! So to say I was excited about this bundle was an understatement! ;) I decided to make a simple, but very cute Strawberry Basket table topper.  This was a very quick project, and so fun to put together!

I couldn't stop at the table topper, so I thought it would be fun to make some strawberry pincushions out of these adorable prints! I used this tutorial from Sedef of Down Grapevine Lane!   Aren't these just the cutest!

Alright, let's get started on this table topper!

Supplies:
Strawberry Basket Bundle
1/2 yard of backing
1/4 yard binding
Strawberry Button

Cutting:

5 -  4" x 4" background squares (for pinwheels)
5 - 4" x 4" print squares (for pinwheels)
4 - 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" print squares
2 - 2.5" x 11.25" strips (border)
2 2.5" x 15 3/4" strips (border)

Take a 4" background square and a 4" printed square.  Place right sides together and sew a 1/4" around the perimeter of the square.  Place on cutting mat and make two diagonal cuts.

Press your half triangle units to the dark fabric.  Sew into rows of two, then sew your two rows together to make your pinwheel.  Press. Make 4 pinwheels. Trim to 4 1/4" x 4 1/4"

Sew your pinwheels into a nine patch - alternating pinwheels with 4 1/4" squares.  Add your 2.5" border, and press.

Baste, quilt and bind with your preferred method - and then sew on your cute strawberry button!

One more thing! We made these very happy Rainbow bundles to celebrate National Find a Rainbow Day!!  These are so bright and happy - be sure to snatch one up! They make great stash builders!

Now that we shared our fabric for the week, we want to see yours!

Here is your chance to link up anything to do with fabric! You can link up finished quilts, a work in progress, a new fabric you just bought, a project made with fabric, or maybe you just want to show off some of your stash.  Anything goes--as long as it has to do with fabric!
