Hi there! I am here to share Block 9 of the Moda Sampler Block Shuffle! This block was designed by: Jen Kingwell Designs
I love pinwheels - they are probably my favorite block! However, with that being said, they can be so frustrating if you aren't precise in your piecing! They are not very forgiving! Be sure to do all your marking and also trim your half square triangle units down to 2" - otherwise you won't get those nice points, and your pinwheels won't match up in the center!
I was in a hurry when I pieced this one together, and I was not happy with how it turned out. So I ended up making another one. (which is the one shown) So learn from my mistake - take your time! I should have known better, than to rush these little pinwheels! ;)
Even though this block took me twice as long, I love it and I am really happy with my fabric choices!!

I LOVE your choice of color, beautiful! I'll be making mine to match.
I forgot to square up my HSTs, but found it easy enough to square up each pinwheel to 3.5". Might have even been easier to stitch them first, then square them up.
