Without a doubt, it is my rotary cutter. I have been quilting so long that I remember when rotary cutters first became available. What a revolution! No more cutting with scissors and templates. Thanks for the giveaway.

I am in the same sewing boat as Lisa Marie, but what I could not do without is my pointy tweezers. They sure help my fat fingers line up my pieces square to sew those seams. And the help me when it comes time to do some unsewing, too!

I absolutely need my Machingers for free motion quilting. A close second would be a tiny scissors for snipping those errant threads.

Mmmm hadn't thought about my glasses! But that's for everything, computer, reading, sewing, etc. Thank heavens for rotary cutters, mats and rulers! My DIL was telling me about a first time quilter who wanted to know if she could use pencil to draw the straight lines on her fabric and then scissor cut all her yardage for a quilt. I could hear Melissa's anguish as she begged the would be quilter to come to her house and she'd show her how to use the rotary cutter. Love straight, accurate cuts. Thanks.

I can do "without" most of the things they have today since I started sewing/quilting 50 years ago and all we had was thin straight pins, scissors and a ruler! We are all so spoiled today! But it is happily spoiled! I t hink back and can't believe I did what I did with what little I had to do it with! But I'd have to say my most favorite thing that I dont' want to have to think about living without is my rotary cutter and templates. Talk about a time saver!
