Hi there! I hope you all had a fun weekend! We have had some really warm weather over the weekend, so we spent a lot of time outside.
Before we get to the giveaway I wanted to tell you that we made a change in the Oh Sew Baby linky party! Before, we asked you to only link up a tutorial that you have made, but we are opening it up to anyone that has made anything baby related. It does NOT have to be a tutorial! Some suggestions on what you could link up:
baby quilt
diaper bag
burp cloths
headbands
baby blanket
baby toys
nursery art
So if you have made anything that is baby related, come on over and share it at the linky party so you can be entered to win a $50 gift certificate to Fort Worth Fabric Studio!
Since we are in the middle of our Oh Sew Baby! series, we thought it would be appropriate to giveaway a baby related pattern!
This Pretty in Bibs pattern is so darling and would be a great way to use up some of your stash! The pattern offers 3 different bibs for baby girls! Each version comes in different sizes. Inside the pattern are 4 codes to let you view helpful online videos that will demonstrate techniques found in the pattern.
To enter to win, answer the following question:
What is your favorite homemade item to make for a baby?
Please leave your answer in the comment section below. Please leave your email address if you are a no-reply blogger or anonymous commenter!
GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED!
Good luck, and I will talk to you soon!
PS: I have three children, and when I was pregnant with each of them I made them cozy receiving blankets! I will be sharing a tutorial for these receiving blankets soon! :) So be sure to check back!

I've just started making the minky backed 'receiving' blankets, so right now that is my favorite thing. With a new granddaughter, and a soon to be second granddaughter, this bib pattern would surely be welcome!!

I love making quilts for babies.
Quilts, the kind that turn into blankies.
My favorite item is a baby quilt! I have to admit, my second favorite is bibs, and this pattern is SO cute!
I love to make flannel receiving blankets that I (machine) embroider with a decorative motif and the baby's first name.

When my now, 36 year old daughter was born...until she was in 6th grade, I made all her clothes! I would go to a high end store, find a $200 dress (who'd ever spend $200 for a dress a toddler would wear for 3 months before they out grow it!??!) and sketch it, then stop at the dime store, get all the makings and go home and mix and match several patterns and make the same dress for under $10! And I'd make a matching bib, hat, diaper panties! In the sixth grade she asked me for a "real store bought dress"..and I had to stop then! Thanks for the giveaway!

I always make a quilt with a matching self binding receiving blanket. Throw in a couple of quilted burp pads and I have the perfect gift.

I love to make flannel receiving blankets with mitered corners...
Baby blankets. I've made crocheted ones, a fleece one with a crocheted edging, and baby quilts (simple patterns; just squares and rectangles) which I've both hand-quilted and tied.
Baby quilts and baby hats
Besides quilts, I have made lots and lots of flannel receiving blankets, especially in 2011-12. We had 3 grandbabies in 3 months (1 from each son). I opened my fabric cabinets and tubs and told the DILs/mommies-to-be to pick their fabrics. They did...and I sewed receiving blankets and burp cloths for months! Loved it.
I like to make knit hats and booties. My newest items are burp cloths and washcloths.
