Hi there! I am so excited to be apart of the Riley Blake Happy Day Blog tour! I am LOVING this fabric by Lori Whitlock. She did an amazing job designing this line - it is so bright and cheery! I can't get enough of it!
I thought I would design a new table runner pattern for this fabric. You guys know how much I love my pinwheels! :) It was almost necessary to make pinwheels out of this fabric! Pinwheels + Happy Day fabric = LOVE

I decided to do a double pinwheel block, and I love how it turned out! I kept the large pinwheels all the same and then alternated the yellow and blue for the smaller pinwheels.
I also added a touch or ric-rac to the runner for a little extra cuteness!
For the back I used my favorite print from the entire collection. Doesn't this print just make you smile? I used the red dot print for the binding - which really just finishes it off nicely!
I got a little adventurous with the quilting. I wanted to try and make the pinwheels pop out - so I did more dense quilting around the pinwheels and in the white of the pinwheels to make this happen. If you wanted to keep your quilting simple- you could easily just do some straight line quilting! Which would be equally as cute.
Alright let's get started! We have kits available - and they include the backing! So pick up a kit and you will have everything you need to make this sweet project!
