Minimum 20 hours a week. It just. Makes me relaxed and happy.
I pretty much sew every day. If I am not at my sewing machine, I am cutting and organizing fabrics for the next day. My guess is I spend about 10-15 hours a week.
I sew, probably, 30 hours a week, more when things have to get done. The joys of being unemployed. LOL
If I'm lucky 15-20 he's a wk. I try to sew every day!
I spend about 8 hours a week when I am sick...more like 25 hours when doing well. crystalbluern at onlineok dot com
Some weeks very little and then other weeks I may spend 8 hours a day, 4 or 5 days in a row. I would guess it averages out to be about 20 hours a week. I love to sew (quilt) but retirement is busier than I thought it was going to be!
I probably spend 10 - 15 hours a week including cutting and sewing. It is hard to let a day go by without a bit of sewing :)
Would have to say 30+ hours a week if you include handsewing.
syvisser@gmail(dot)com
A couple hours a week. I wish I could do more, but having three boys with another due to arrive any day just makes it impossible right now.
Lovely fabric, though :)
gemme13@hotmail.com
I don't spend nearly as much as I should or want to. I'm working on that.
I'm lucky if I get 5 to 10hours a week.
Mmm,I might get in 10 - I'd do more if I could!
Since I work full time , I'd say I get 15 hours on average … sure wish I had note time!
I try to get in anywhere from 5 to 10 ...
I try to get in anywhere from 5 to 10 ...
I would guess about 5 hours a week of actual sewing and close to that reading about sewing lol
I would say close to 30, as I am retired also.
I don't keep track but would guess it works out to about 35 hours a week. Maybe I should start keeping a record!
I'm retired so at least 40 hours probably more in the winter but less when the weather is nice and I can be in the garden.
If you ask my husband, he would say I spend way to much time sewing.
I am working full time, but I try to sew an hour or two every night, and then some more in the weekend. If I should count, I guess it would be 15 - 20 hours a week.
Just starting to dust off my sewing skills so about 8 hours on weekend with daughter.
Liked you on FB
I sew about 40 hours a week.
I wish I had a lot more time to sew, I only get about 10 hr a week. :(

I reckon I sew about 3 - 5 hours per week - sometimes more if I have a good stretch on a weekend.
I sew during naps and after my daughter goes to bed and sometimes when she's playing in the same room... But it definitely varies every day/week/month! I'll guess that I sew between 1-10 hours a week :)
At the moment well over 20hrs per week as I'm on maternity leave and baby hasn't arrived yet - no work + no baby = lots of time to sew. I imagine this will change.....
I sew about 6 hours a week depending on what the weather is like. I spend a lot of time working in my garden and also work full time; not enough hours in the day!

Around 20 hours a week
Since I retired, I now can sew whenever I want but try to restrict it to maybe 10 hours a week. I was sewing all day ev ery day for three weeks before Xmas for a charity bazaar and really made my back ache so I've had to cut down!! Thank you for your offer
Most weeks I get in about 35 hours of sewing. More if my husband is away on business. I don't really notice the passage of time when I'm sewing because I'm engrossed in and enjoying what I'm doing.
It depends on the week and season. But I try to sew between 5-20 hours in a week. More if the hubby is engrossed in his hobbies or chores. mgreen2427@live.com
I sew on the weekends (Friday-Sunday) & usually get in about 10 hours total. Thanks for the giveaway.
Since I am employed full time, I don't get as much sewing time as I would like. I usually sew all day on Saturday and Sunday, so probably a total of about 16 hours a week. Thanks for the chance to win that beautiful layer cake.
I think I am the same as you - only 4-6 hours a week. Would love to do more though!
Unfortunately probably only about 6, though that doubles if you add embroidery. I work full time ;0(
It varies greatly from none to 25 or more hours per week. Last week it was about 6, this week looks like it will be a lot more.
I only get to sew 6 - 8 hours per week. Thanks for the giveaway!
Not nearly enough :( probably less than 5! Hope to do more soon! Thanks for the chance to win!!
It varies depending on how many night shifts I work at my job. Minimum I would say 2 fax I would say 12
Well, it's never enough, but anywhere from 10-20 hours a week, depending on what else is going on.
It varies week to week and if the inspiration is flowing. I would say it averages out to about 12-15 hours a week.
I average sewing around 20 hours a week. Thanks for the giveaway.
I try to get snag a few minutes every day--most days I get about 15 minutes if I'm lucky. I'm guessing with a few extra minutes here and there I probably sew about 2 hours a week.
I probably spend about 10 hours a week, although it is hard to find time when you are in college!!
Probably about 15.
Oh boy, that can really vary. I would say maybe 10 hours a week. And that would include hand pieced projects. And then some weeks go by and I do no sewing.

I need to spend more time sewing! Depending if I have a project or not, it may vary. If I am sewing a garment, then I would usually spend how many hours it is to finish it. I like to finish my garment in a week. If I don't then usually I have small projects that takes about 1-2 hours per week.

HELLO, I like to spend some time sewing each day>that doesn't ususally happen! So I designate Tues+Wed as mostly sewing days. Thanks for the neat giveaway!
cobaltt16@yahoo.com
I haven't sewn in eons! I am anxious to begin again soon and things are finally looking up! The damaged top to my cutting table and sewing machine cabinet has finally come in! And, my room is almost done (garage conversion)! The flooring is half way done and as soon as that is completed, I can start moving in! I am hoping by the first week of March!

I try to spend some time every day sewing…doesn't always happen…but I try :)
I really don't have any ideal how much or little sewing I do in a week. I try to get in a little everyday.
Oh, no week is the same. I suffer from ME/CFS so there can be months without any sewing at all, and suddenly I can spend 2-3 hours a day.

I pinned on Pinterest and shared on FB:)
I try to get a couple hours every couple days, but some weeks are better than others.
ourbusylittlebunch(at)hotmail(dot)com
i'm fortunate not to work outside the home so i can sew everyday if i want, i try to do something quilting related everyday.
I am luck if I get in half an hour a day. Pesky job. :)
3-5 hours a week . . . maybe. It all depends on my work schedule, which is sporadic. I envy all these people who can get ten or more hours in a week!
It really varies but I would say I average ~5 hours a week. I had a lot more last week with all the snow days here in GA!
On a good week I get to spend 5-10 hours, mostly on my days off. :)
I'm usually happy if I can get in a good solid hour every weekday during naptime. I must admit, I'm a little jealous of those moms who have kids old enough to go to school for 6 hours a day. LOL.
Very little. 1-2 hours. I am a full time student, mother of two year old twins, married, and work part-time. I get very little time to do it. I would love to have more time to sew.
Hmm, it really varies, but usually I spend about 15 hours sewing a week after the kids go to bed.
21 hours a week
I spend around 20 hours sewing, quilting, etc. Sometimes less depending on the week and holidays could be all nighters. I'm real New so my 20 hours are like your 5 hours! lol :) Thanks for a chance, love your store!

Not enough, haha! Lately, it's about the 5hr mark, if I'm lucky. Winter holidays, colds, too cold... Blah!
I sew about 5 hours a week when my husband is home, but on the weeks he is gone I sew around 15 to 20 hours.
Never enough but usually about 15 hrs. a week More in the winter than in the summer.
About 8 hours a week. I have two little ones so they keep me busy most of the time! ;) You have beautiful fabric! Thanks for the chance. Marcie Heard, marcie71046@hotmail.com. Also, shared your facebook giveaway post! ;)
Try to sew some most days....tho usually doesn't happen! lol Averages out to be10-15 hours....sometimes bit more. Summer is too full....garden & a Peach Orchard...& Farm Mkts keep me outside alot then. :)
I already Follow Fort Worth Studio on Pinterest (Lori)
8-10 hrs weekly
Usually 20 -30 hours per week depending on the time of year. It's less in the summer because of gardening and in the fall because of leaf peeping.

Barcelona is a great fabric line, thanks for the chance to win! :)
I sew about four hours a week. I wish it could be more. Thanks so much for the chance to win Barcelona!
I shared this beautiful giveaway on Facebook.
Hmmmm...really varies from week to week. Sometimes life just gets in the way!
And, I tried to post to FB, not sure, but a big P for Pinterest covered up FB then. Oh ,dear. Love the fabric and could use some more stash, I've sewed two sweat suits for swimmers and two nighties for my angels in that many days...wearing down the stash.
I spend about 10-20 h per week, it varies week to week. Thanks for the chance.
I spend between 7 and 25 hours a week sewing, it depends on the week!
missysaprons@gmail.com
Between 5 - 8 hrs per week.
I sew everyday, no certain amount of time. Some days though I know I sit there too long when I can hardly get up from my sewing machine.
At least a couple of hours everyday and more on the days when I'm not working with my husband installing kitchens.
I try to sew everyday but that hasn't been working out for me yet. I probably sew around 5 hours a week if I'm lucky. I need to prioritize sewing instead of other things like being on the computer and reading blogs...LOL LOL It's just too much fun!! ugh

I sew at least an hour each day.
I usually sew about 35 hours a week including hand sewing on binding in the evenings while watching tv...now that I'm retired I am really enjoying the time I can spend on sewing...
My sewing time varies. I have to agree with someone else's comment that retirement takes more time than you think. I get up thinking I'm going to sew all day & then something comes along & that idea is shot! On average I would say 5 - 10 hours a week. Maybe I need to get a "Do Not Disturb" sign!
HI! About 2-4 on wknds, trying to start doing 15-30 min every night, will just depend on how long my commute takes, I so wish I could drive & sew at the same time. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
5-10 hours. thanks for the chance to win!
I spend several hours a day sewing...usually. Mornings mostly as it gets hot in the afternoons in my sewing room and doesn't cool down until about 7pm,,,then I am to tired!
Oh I wish I could sew more! But probably only 2 hours a week at the moment. Hoping this will increase soon though :)
since christmas not all that much... but usually I am in here every day for hours!
I haven't been able to do much lately because I had carpal tunnel surgery. But I have bundles pulled for quilts. Usually I can sew 1 to 2 hours at night.
paweis at yahoo dot com
I generally only sew on the weekends - about 8-10 hours. But, lately, I have been inspired and have also been sewing at night during the week. I got in an additional 8 hours this week! Just crazy!
Lori - crystoll@aol.com
I sew whenever I am not doing something else! HAHA Morning til night everyday, and in between taking care of my kiddos
Thanks for this chance!! I spend the majority of my day sewing or quilting. Do a little housework...and voila!!
I hand quilt and learning to machine quilt...plus I make a lot of quilts for other people. It is my full time hobby!!!
I sew 5-6 hours per week on average...trying to do more sewing since I have so many projects started. Karenrhodes1953@gmail.com
Well, I am a power sewer...so I just sewed 5 quilts, now I am done for a while. Thanks for a great give away.
I probably spend about 3-4 hours a week sewing. Sure wish it was more...:(
I sew and quilt about 10-12 hours per week. As soon as I finish reorganizing my sewing room (still have to paint and do the flooring ) I hope to be sewing three days a week.
Not enough- I work full-time. I spend about 10 hrs a week, sometimes more. I am always thinking about my quilting though. I am truly addicted!
Love reading everyone's comments! I'm a weekend sewer as I work full time, so a good 6-10 hours of sewing for me. :) I work on hand sewing in the evenings during the weekdays. :)
At the very least I spend 1 hour per day. Usually it is that hour after dinner when normal people are doing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen.
Great giveaway thanks for the chance!

I spend at least 20 each week. cindy quiltstsh@aol.com
Normally spend about 15-20 hours a week. Right now I'm hand quilting one for our show, so I'm up to about 34-45!! Can't wait to finish.
Luckily I spend more than 50 hours a week getting ready for our Summer Art Shows here in Vancouver, BC. I couldn't do it without all the beautiful packages I get from you every week! You guys ROCK!
Usually I spend 20 hours, give or take! This week I spent zero! I am no in neutral right now!
I spend about 15-20 per week... sometimes more. Sometimes less.
I can't sew as much as I like- really only on the weekends and then I make the most of every minute and hope to get in about 5-10 hours a week.
I probably sew about 20-25 hours per week.

I actually started logging my time this month and so far I am averaging about 2 hours a day. I usually devote Friday night, saturday or sunday to sewing so this is how i get a higher average for the week. I like ot sew at least 45 minutes per day
I sew about 10-15 hours per week--some weeks more and others less
Between sewing and quilting I would say 30-40 hrs a week!!! I am lucky to be able to do that as I enjoy it so much :-)
Following on Pintrest.
Not enough! I actually spend about 10 hrs/week quilting.
Not enough. If I'm lucky 2-4 hours, depending on if I'm in town on the weekend. Thanks for the chance to win.

Its quite variable. Sometimes several days will pass before I get to my machine. Other times I will sew for several full days at a time. It all depends on the inspiration of the moment. Cindy
While I think sewing and quilting all the time, I probably don't get to sew more than 2 hours a day. but than I'll have a day when I'm at my machine for 8 hours and then wonder where the time has gone.
Get the newsletter. thanks
Thank you Lindsey for a lovely give away! These Fabrics have been in my wish list for a long time!
My sewing time change very much. Sometimes there is a long time that I can sew a lot every day and then some days that I don't make any stitches. But My quilt on process is hanging on the fence of the stairs, so I can at least see it all the time! x Teje

I usually sew 8-12 hours a week but not much lately as the winter has taken a toll on my energy. I would like to sew around 30 hours or more to get an etsy store started. Nadine rnwillis@velotech.net
Some weeks it is zero and others it is 15-20. I'm sewing a lot right now. The warm weather has put me in good spirits!
I would guess minimum 10 hours a week. It depends upon what is on the longarm! My family knows I have to sew for my sanity!
i try to quilt at least a few hours a month, I don't have time for hours a week. It doesn't help that I'm new to quilting, and have to take time away form video games! lol
My hours per week vary wildly. Sometimes only an hour or two -- sometimes up to ten or more. I usually feel like I have to finish all my chores and errands before I can indulge...
I usually quilt 1 day a week with friends and sew at least 3 days a week in the winter, not so much in the summer ...so about 20-30 hours a week. Retirement is wonderful
I usually quilt 1 day a week with friends and sew at least 3 days a week in the winter, not so much in the summer ...so about 20-30 hours a week. Retirement is wonderful
Probably 2 hours or more per day so 14 hours a week or more. Have done more this past few weeks due to the cold and snow. cathyallenrn87@yahoo.com
On average about 20-30 hours a week. If not actually sewing, it's cutting, designing, petting fabric. =) I love being in my sewing room!
Average of 4-6 hours a week day/night, that's cutting, ironing, sewing (time in the sewing room). Weekends depend on sports, birthday parties etc.
I mainly sew on the weekends. Particularly Saturday morning or late Sunday night.
Usually about a half hour a day on something…more when I get the chance.
Lucky me...I'm retired,so I can sew whenever I wish. Unfortunately its not all day, every day! I still have cooking ,gardening and the housework to do.
Usually 10-15 hours a week. I try to sew at least a little every day. Wish it was more!
I try to sneak into my sewing room for a bit every evening after dinner. On a good day 2 or 3 hours. But sometimes 20 minutes, just for my quilting "fix".
I work full time so I average 4-5 sewing hours per week. I wish it could be more!

Hi, I sew an average of 5 hours per day. I wake up most mornings with something in mind that won't let me go back to sleep :)

Nice to find a competition Australians can enter!
You made me actually think about this. I haven't ever taken time to think about the actual hours I spend sewing. Of course, it varies. But I am at my machine at least 15 hours a week which is every day for a couple hours. Many days I spend 4 to 6 hours. Life's great when you're retired. So I don't have to keep track of the hours I spend doing anything, like visiting sewing blogs...
I would say on average 10 hours a week sewing but about 40 hours a week thinking about sewing!
It varies probably 10 hours. This question has got me thinking and I plan on keeping track just to see.
Probably 15 hours a week
Susie
legato1958@aol.com
The short answer is...not enough! I returned to fulltime work last fall, so my sewing time has been reduced, but I still sew whenever I have any free time at all. I would bet I still spend 8 hours per week at my beloved sewing machine.
Since retired, I sew about 14-20 hrs a week. Putzing around trying to match patterns with fabric-8 hrs a week and never make a decission. I now have 4 quilts to sew on the bindings.!
I probably get in about 4-5 hours a week, maybe 10 if I have an open weekend. I really wish I had more time. Thank you for the giveaway!
It really depends on the week, most weeks just what I can so about 10 hours.
I try to sew at least three hours each and that is usually on Saturday. I work full-time and on weeks when I don't have a lot of deadlines (and don't have to extend my work week by working at home at night) I get some nights after work. On those weeks I can sometimes get in 10-12 hours. Besides being a hobby, sewing is very relaxing to me, so I try to sneak in every moment I can.
