I'm pretty intimidated by landscape quilts. They just look so time consuming and overwhelming to me.
I guess I need tips on FMQ on home machines, especially tensions. Thanks for the giveaway..... the fabrics are beautiful!
FMQ feathers! I'm not really afraid to try, I actually have tried. But until I spend time practicing they are just too intimidating to do on an actual quilt.
I would like to try a portrait quilt of some of my flowers. I have the photos BUT that's as far as I got. Thanks for the chance to win.
thank you for this chance....I need more help with FMQ. but I would like to learn thread painting
FMQ - bought a sewing machine with this capability and don't know how to do it.
I want to make a needle turn appliqué quilt that has a lot of small circles and stems, but I'm afraid my stitching and cutting aren't precise enough.
Quilting my own quilts in a design rather than just stitch in the ditch or meandering.
I would like to learn how to put a quilt together better. Mine are always wrinkled and awkward to handle. I have a PVC frame that I quilt on, but haven't found a good way to put it in the frame.

I'm just getting started with quilting and a little intimidated by most of it but can't wait to get busy. I would like to learn free motion quilting though.
I would like to try paper piecing. I hope to find someone who can "show" me in person vs blog/pictures, because I really don't "get" it very well from online.
Thanks for the lovely giveaway. I have not tried batiks yet.
I would love to learn how to finish my curved 9 patch, having a ton of problems getting the seams to line up. :( Thank you for the chance to win.
I'm hesitant to try paper piecing -- it just makes no sense to me yet. :-/
I want to learn to quilt feathers & how to turn my quilt to quilt borders to match. Thanks for the giveaway. ~Patti
definitely bargello! i know people say its easy, but it looks so complicated!
allisonpogany@gmail.com
Sewing curved quilt blocks looks super difficult.
applique , need some help with that
long arming -- I'm only afraid to try because I know I won't be getting one for my home
What am I not afraid of?
I feel that when I first started sewing I was more adventurous, because I knew so little. Now I know more, at least in theory, but I am so much more afraid of messing up. Sewing wise, collars on a button down shirt are hard for me and I need to learn how to do them properly. I dont think I have sucessfully managed to make one. Quilting wise, triangles scare me, so I avoid them always!
Paper piecing. I've done it once, in a class for a sampler quilt, but I just didn't get it. I need someone to hold my hand!
Curved piecing terrifies me!
One of these days I am going to learn how to FMQ. I guess I just need to lock myself in my sewing room and not come out until I have it mastered!
I would like to learn machine applique.
Sewing curved quilt blocks look a little tricky for me.I I run when see curves and also try FMQ!!
It looks like we're falling into three categories: paper-piecing, FMQ or curves. For me it's curves!
I have quilted for over forty years and never used a sewing machine (i always hand piece and hand quilt). And to make a purse. I love this fabric! babscorbitt at gmail dot com
I would love to learn more about fmq. Epp too is a weak spot I'd love to learn more about!
Sewing curves mskes me nervous. One day I will give them a try.
I am currently avoiding Paper Piecing and curves.
I would like to try free motion quilting. natalie.k711(at)gmail(dot)com

I am currently learning to Paper Piecing and would love a chance to win this beautiful collection.
akk_nana@yahoo.com
I'm trying to work up the courage to free motion a large bed size quilt. Thanks for a chance to win these lovely fabrics.
Free motion quilting. Logically I know I just have to do it and with practice it should work. But the fear of messing up a quilt while learning is intimidating.
I'm not necessarily afraid of any quilting techniques (snakes and heights, yes) but I would really love to be able to FMQ with some skill. However, I blame my lack of skill on my old sewing machine. If I bought a new machine, I'm sure I would instantly become Angela Walters or Judi Madsen!
k(dot)castanette(at)hotmail(dot)com
I've been putting off sewing with knits! I just need to get started!!
been trying free motion/stippling but just not working too well. Thanks for the chance to win this giveaway
ABreading4fun [at] gmail [dot] com
Curves are my demons! I have loved so many quilt patterns but they require making curves. I shudder just thinking of trying one!
I would love to try free-motion quilting.
Oh, like so many commenters, I'm afraid to try free motion quilting. I even signed up for a Craftsy class to learn it, but so far, I just can't make myself try it on a real project and it feels wasteful to try quilting in something that's not going to end up being used.
I would love to learn paper piecing and free motion quilting.
paweis at yahoo dot com
I would love to learn free motion quilting on my sewing/embroidery machine. At least enough to do a small quilt and not be embarrassed!
Free motion quilting, paper piecing, and sewing curves! sounds like I'm not alone!
I am afraid to try random, freeform piecing. For some reason relinquishing control in that way just chokes me! It's so silly. :)
Fmq! Thanks for the chance!
free motion quilting. I feel a little intimidated to try
Needle turn applique, I've tried, but I just don't get it. Thanks for the giveaway.
A double wedding ring quilt, I buyed templates the first year I learn quilting...19 years ago !
I really need to get myself in gear and learn paper piecing. Thanks.
I've also never attempted curves! I feel like there is so much room for error but I have never tried. Maybe a tutorial is in store for those of us who are hesitant to curves? :)
Love these batiks! I'd love to learn how to sew knits properly and how to use a serger - they look so complicated. I really shy away from knits, my worst craft fail was with knit fabric :(

I want to learn to paper piece a New York Beauty block! I also want to do a Double Wedding Ring quilt.
Quilting with confidence on my longarm machine. Linda. slmne5@Yahoo.com

Please click on the delaineelliott above for my email link
I would like to learn FMQ on my home machine
Free Motion Quilting. sarah@forrussia.org
I am relatively new at this but would love to try some kind of improve double wedding ring block? That would be piecing and curves and lots of fun! Thanks for all your help during my stash building! I am following along on the Texas blocks and am planning on learning all about where most of my stash came from. You guys are awesome!
I would like to make a wedding ring quilt, but I'm terrified of all the small pieces and curved sewing.
I like the effect of freehand machine embroidery, but I'm afraid of what my hands would create!
FMQ on my DSM. I get paralized (both my brain and my hands) just thinking about it. But I would definitely want to learn it!
It's a tie....smocking and a double wedding ring quilt.
I'd like to try curved piecing
I have a fear of inset circles, but I'm thinking I'm about ready to be brave and dive in. Just watched a class on it, so I'm itching to get going!
free motion quilting on large quilts is very scarey to me
I am fascinated by quilts that are quilted first and then colored - sometimes with inks, sometimes with paints - and I'd like to try that. I'm a klutz usually, though, and I'm afraid to mess up the already-quilted item. :)
Linda
Free motion quilting on my home machine . . . I know my machine is capable, it's just me that's reluctant. I'd also like to learn how to use my serger that I found at an estate sale for $10!! And I think it's never been used!
Needle turn applique...never tried it. Any technique needs practice, but I am a perfectionist and expect to have it done perfect right out the gates! ha ha.... I'm learning to forgive myself!
I would really like to finally figure out paper piecing and what I continue to do wrong that mine is always backwards to everyone else. Thanks
I'd love to try a traditional double wedding quilt but it scares the bejeebus outa me!
I'd love to learn to paper piece. I love new York beauty blocks and would like to be able to sew some of those up.
I feel comfortable doing FMQ on small wallhangings, but doing it on a big quilt is a whole different thing! I look for straight line designs for those. So I hope to try that sometime. Thanks for the chance to win.
I'd like to learn to sew curves, but they really intimidate me! Thanks for the great giveaway!
I love the patterns with curves but don't know if I have the patience. I vividly remember setting in too many sleeves in clothing projects years ago that made me rip out seams because of puckers.
I really need help with sewing curves.
Pacholke21 at gmail dot com
I would love to learn applique but it seems like too much work. Then I'd love to learn paper piecing but haven't.
nrmajwood@gmail.com
I would love to learn paper piecing (Again) since I never really got the hang of it the first time.

Paper piecing:)
little pieces scare me........although a roll up width of 2 1/2" doesn't.
My top three are a New York Beauty quilt, curves, and sewing with knits. Thanks for the giveaway!
Free Motion Feathers - without using a template or pattern. crystalbluern at onlineok dot com
I would like to learn to hand dye fabric that I would then sew with-still a sewing technique right!
Pixelating quilt. All those colors that create an image is an overwhelming thought!
Funny you ask....I have just seen a video of making curves in a quilt.. and that is what I want to try...but I hate curves! But I think I might give a lap size curvey quilt a try this summer!

I want to try applique and curved piecing.

F.M.Q.!!!
Curved piecing scared the dickens out of me
Learning paper piecing is a goal of mine, I want to be able to relax and enjoy doing it with ease, not stress.
FMQ - still on my list... Thanks so much!
I'm new to quilting and would love to try hexagons.
Paper piecing is something I would love to master. Love the sharpness it adds to a design.
akk_nana@yahoo.com
There is so much I would love to learn about quilting, but I think I would to learn FMQ on my sewing machine first. I have only done straight line quilting on it so far.
Circles. And machine quilting (I still do it by hand)
Sewing bags is addicting, watch out! I have some drunkards path pieces cut out, just haven't sewn them together, so fear of curves would be good, especially since I hate pinning things. I also really really need to work on my FMQ skills or lack of.
Sashiko, done right. I've always admired the evenness of the stitches. And the simple rhythm patterns.
Paper piecing quilt blocks
I am not one for being exact
