Strawberry Bunting Tutorial

Supplies:
Burlap 1/4 yard
Fabric Scraps
Fusible web (Like Heat and Bond)
Twine
Template

Step1:

• Cut your your templates from the download HERE
• Cut your flags out first (I used burlap for these)
• Cut your fabric piece for the top 3.5" X Width of your bunting. (So if your bunting is 5" wide, you will cut your piece 3.5" x 5") You will need one piece of fabric for each flag
• Iron your fusible web onto the fabrics you are going to use for your strawberry pieces.  Then cut out your strawberries. 

Step 2:  Make a 1/4" fold on either side of your piece of fabric:

Step 3:  Press your fabric piece in half, you will have raw edges on the sides:

Step 4: Place your burlap piece in between your pressed fabric piece, overlapping just over a 1/4" so you catch the fabric in the back.

Step 5:  Fold over, and sew a 1/4" seam across the bottom.  Do not sew on the sides, you want to leave those open so you can string your twine through the opening.

Step 6:  Iron your strawberry pieces on the front of the burlap:

Step 7: Stitch around your strawberry piece to secure:

Step 8: Make as many as you want for your bunting.  Once you have them all, string the twine through the openings.

That's all there is to it! I love how these little strawberry flags turned out! I have these hanging in my kitchen, and they are so darling!
