Embroidered Zipper Pouch {Free Pattern}

Hi there! I am in love with today's project I am going to show you! I have caught the embroidery bug, and I really can't stop! :)

A few weeks ago, I saw some embroidered pouches on pinterest, and I knew that I had to make myself one.  So I came up with this:

Since I am relatively new at embroidery, I wanted to make something simple, but cute.  So I drew up some flower doodles, and one thing led to another and I came up with this simple design:

This came together quickly, and I really enjoyed making it from start to finish.  I really loved picking out my thread and trying to match colors! I love coral right now, so I knew I had to incorporate it in my flowers.

 If you like to give handmade gifts for Christmas, this would make a lovely gift! It's simple enough, and doesn't take too much time, and is very affordable! And let's face it, you could never have enough zipper pouches--in my opinion!

For the lining of the pouch I used Riley Blake's A Beautiful Thing Navy Print -HERE.  I love this print, and it actually goes perfectly with my design I made!

I decided to make my embroidered piece into a zipper pouch (You can find my zipper pouch tutorial here) like I mentioned earlier, but you could do absolutely anything with your design.  You could frame it, make it into a pillow, or keep it in a hoop and use it as hoop art.  Whatever you decide, I know it will be lovely! :)

We are also offering kits to make this stitchable.

 The stitchable includes:

Included in the kit:
  • Fat Eighth of Moda's Linen Mochi Solid Unbleached
  • 5 skeins of DMC floss (the same colors used in the picture)
  • Package of Clover Gold Eye Embroidery Needles (keep on hand for future projects!)
  • Stitchable Pattern by Lindsey Weight

I ended up giving this pouch to my mom, so I guess I'm off to make another one for myself!

 :)

Talk to you soon,
