Hi there!  I can't believe we are finishing up our Christmas Mystery Quilts!  I have loved doing this Sew Along!  Another Mystery Quilt is in the works, and details are coming very soon!

Ta Da! :) 

I had sooo much fun with this quilt you guys!  I hope you like it as much as I do!

I wanted this Mystery Quilt to have a different layout than the Halloween quilt, so I designed this one to be "on point."  I had a lot of fun designing each of the blocks, especially that center star block! 

 One of my favorite parts of the quilt is how the hourglass blocks form an eight pointed star - which is my favorite star block! 

I also had to throw pinwheels in there, because you all know how much I love my pinwheel blocks! 

Primrose Cottage Quilts quilted this with a fun holly design, which I love because there is holly in the center star and on the backing! 

The striped piece in your kits is used for binding.  Striped binding is my favorite, and with the Christmas theme - it makes it that much cuter in my opinion. ;)

Christmas Mystery Quilt {Week 1}

Hi there! You guys, I have been SOOO excited for this day to come!  We have had such an awesome response to this Sew Along --- and I feel super grateful you guys are joining me on this fun little sewing adventure for the next few weeks!  Let's get started!

Intro

Week 1 - Peppermint Pinwheel

Week 5 - Quilt Assembly 

A few things before we begin: 

• Please read ALL instructions before starting.

• Please measure twice and cut once - I have made the cutting instructions very specific  - and there IS NOT a lot of room for cutting errors - so PLEASE BE CAREFUL!

• I am posting the blocks for the quilt in no particular order - to keep this EXTRA MYSTERIOUS! 

• Accuracy is KEY!  This quilt requires you to be very accurate with your piecing - A 1/4" quilting foot is recommended for piecing.  I used a "scant" 1/4" seam for this quilt. 

• I have made the entire quilt already (and it is sooo cute!!) - and so all blocks and piecing have been tested. 

• This is all about having fun!! This was a joy to design and it was even more fun piecing this quilt! I can't wait for the final reveal! 

Alright, I think you guys are ready to get started!

First, I have included a cutting sheet.  This sheet is cutting for the ENTIRE QUILT.  It is very helpful if you mark all your pieces with the letters I have assigned each piece.  Please measure twice and cut once! There is nothing worse than making a cutting mistake! So pay careful attention please!

Christmas Mystery Quilt

Hi there!  Have you heard?!  We are doing another Mystery Quilt Sew Along!!  This time we are doing a Christmas theme - and we will be starting later this month.  

I had so much fun doing the first Mystery Quilt, that I knew we had to do another one!  I hope you will join me again!  There is no need to "sign up" - you can just follow along by checking the blog for each week's downloadable instructions.   Scroll down for all the information!

We do have a few kits left, so be sure to pick one up if you haven't yet - they wont last long once we get started! 

Since it's a "Mystery Quilt" I can only tell you a few things:

• It is a Christmas Quilt
• It is 36" x 36" 
• We have kits available - with backing and binding INCLUDED. 
• You don't have to "sign up" to join in - just check the blog every Thursday starting October 12 - to download the pattern for that week.
• This Sew Along will last five weeks.  You will finish with plenty of time to have it ready for Christmas!
• I will include a PDF download each week so you can easily print off the instructions for each block.
• Skill level for this quilt is a confident beginner - this quilt is traditionally pieced.
